Job Search Strategy (3839th Edition)

Career Planning Evolution:
  • Original: Fundraise 100% of education and dedicate post MBA energy to literacy in Puerto Rico.  Speak Spanish. Be international. Improve society.
  • Adjusted: Fundraised 37% of MBA and realized I'd need a good job after graduating but could go to Spain.  Still committed to making the world better and people smarter.
  • Adjusted II:  AuPair household was not a compatible living environment, so I "reacquired" rent costs after moving out and got an additional loan from PEO Sisterhood.  That adjusted my priorities to paying off school debts and is the cause of deep reflexion on how I earn $$$ for school, live healthy, and find a way to give back.  Soul searching, with hope.

These are the two rotational programs I've found that target US citizens and have an international aspect.  There are many other non-international rotational programs, but global exposure is the core of what I seek.  I have my work cut out for me. Good thing I'm an optimist.

  • "The LDP is comprised of three domestic six-month assignments, and one six-month international assignment."
  • "Projects may include preparing operational plans, new business development, implementing strategy, acquisitions, and divestitures."

  • "You will spend 4 years on a fast track development programme, working your way towards a senior commercial or country management team role"
  • "Whatever it is you’re doing, and wherever you are based, you’ll be sharing in our mission to improve the quality of human life, by enabling people to do more, feel better and live longer – all while building strong foundations for a successful career"
  • "Through challenging rotations, you will gain exposure to high profile roles, such as marketing, sales, business development and project management"
